What seems to trigger Ken isn't quoting so much these days, it's discussion.

If the discussion goes into areas he isn't appreciative of, notices are sent, when discussion reaches a large enough audience, notices are sent out.

The other factor in this is, by sending notices he is enforcing not so much the copyright but his registered service mark...if he can manufacture the perception in peoples minds that associates A Course In Miracles with Ken Wapnick and FFACIM, rather then Jesus, then in the next round of legal maneuvers he faces to retain the service mark, the trade mark of " A Course In Miracles" he will be able to become the sole representative of A Course In Miracles on the planet.

What that means is that you will not be able to say you are A Course In Miracles student without his permission. No one will be able to say they are A Course In Miracles Teacher without his permission. No one will be able to say it is a Course In Miracles meeting with out his permission. No one will be able to have A Course In Miracles website without his permission.

FFACIM is attempting to set up a monopoly of usage that requires permission being asked for and granted before time before anyone can do anything with the Course.

He is doing it by his web activities. At some point, in order to go any further with his ownership and enforcement of the copyright, he will have to have a survey conducted by a reputable firm that will devise questions to be asked of a statistically valid sample of A Course In Miracle "student."

The questions will lead people in the direction which gives them the ability to provide information that basically will say, that the most common thought that people have when they hear the term "A Course In Miracles" or see the trade marked initials "ACIM" is Ken Wapnick, or The Foundation for A Course In Miracles, thereby proving that He and his foundation can be damaged by your use of A Course In Miracles.

This will then prove legally that it is necessary for him to control the use of A Course In Miracles.

The association they are most afraid of allowing people to make in their minds when the hear the term or see the trade mark A Course In Miracles is one with Jesus. For if that becomes peoples initial reaction to the term, to the book, to the trademark, the work will then be pout of his control and he will have no legal leg to stand on, when he attempts to police the world regarding A Course In Miracles.

I'm sure part of their logic behind FIP signing over the legal right to administer the copyright of A Course In Miracles, is because of the name recognition that can be made between the title of the book, A Course In Miracles, and the name of the Foundation, Foundation for A Course In Miracles.

What might actually be interesting to note here, is that the Northwest Foundation For A Course In Miracles "legally" registered it's title before Ken Wapnick did, which means that Ken's claim has the ability to be marred by Mr. Tuttle and his foundation, therefore not really giving him the legal upper hand that he thinks he has in all this.

So, if you have ever wondered why Raj and his website has not been as "policed as has been other sites which have been closed down for infractions that have been brought to Ken attention, here is part of the understanding...it is important that Ken doesn't do anything that moves Paul into action, it is important to Ken that Paul and his foundation remain small and financially located on the seat of their pants, because Paul has a legal claim breaker that can cause Ken and the Foundation for A Course In Miracles to become the tables in the temple that Jesus once more can turn over to rectify the misuse of his Father's House of worship.

The real reason behind Ken's and the foundations notices have everything to do with his desire to control the world in regard to A Course In Miracles by trademark, rather then by copyright...

Ken has developed a systematic legal strategy, that will eventually effect everyone who uses the Course, or will use the course in the future. He is manufacturing a de facto reign over A Course In Miracles that must ease the perception of everyone else including Jesus out.

He says he encourages discussion, and therefore allows it to begin, yet once the discussion become broad based enough, as on this site...once there was a diverse readership and participation, he steps in to the crowd that develops and claims his rights...Of course they wanted the copyright letter posted on the site. That just increases his brand name recognition in a broader audience, and you wonder why he waited as long as he did to "notice" this site. He knows exactly what he is doing.

In case you haven't noticed what has gone on legally and the sequencing of it...

He had four cases active against the copyright at one time. The sequence of how is is dealing with them is very telling, and he actually has figures out how to use the cases to his advantage.

First, he settles his case with Robert Perry, giving him an agreement, which goes to manufacturing the legal perception of valid copyright. He can use the "fact" that the case is settled by negotiation, to influence the next court's "perception" that the copyright and service mark are enforceable and therefore bona fide. However, the "settlement" that was reached is being renegotiated, so therefore was never a bona fide settlement for Robert, but sure gives Ken credibility for fairness of administration of the copyright...Ken has the deal, the settlement "sealed" so who knows and no court can get access to see how "legitimate the offer might actually be.

Next, he chooses to take Ryan's case to court, because to him, Ryan is an easy win, what with no money, no legal representation, and him with money and lawyers, it's basically no contest...with this win, he has set the tone for what others can expect from him legally, but also another "court" sanctioned notch on his copyright ownership belt, but more important, the brand recognition in the State of Washington, where low and behold Paul Tuttle and the Northwest Foundation for A Course In Miracles resides.

Now he decides to pursue the case with the New Christian Church, and put the case with CIMS on the back burner because he actually has gotten them to stop distributing their JCIM already, and another win against the church would sure shore up his claims, and all the while allowing discussion about A Course In Miracles to start and continue, but each time it does to a wide enough audience, he can step in, make the brand recognition case more and more solid, in people's mind, because the common denominator in all the cases in FFACIM and Ken and he encourages that, and uses everything including violations or breaches to his favor.

He is using everything that all, Course people do to manufacture the perception that he is A Course In Miracles, not Jesus, not the people who are involved.

Ken once had his legal staff threaten to sue me personally, if I continue to say that he say's Jesus is not the author of A Course In Miracles, and then he went to court to prove he wasn't...he is fostering the perception he wants the world to have of him and his ownership of the trademark, by manufacturing brand name recognition, and will let anyone do anything for as long as it takes for him to step in use the association that you have developed, be it a website, a church, a school or teaching mechanism anything, just as long as he can send out his notices and get his commercial in, so that in the very, very near future, when some say A Course In Miracles, or sees the logo ACIM, they think of him and his foundation.

Why do you think he choose to separate from the case I am involved with the legal dealings regarding registered trademark and what he says is it's violation...His lawyers asked that that be dealt with later. It will be 5 years later and how many websites and groups and organizations that receive notices and are too poor to do anything about it, so begin to say..."Oh yes, A Course in Miracle, Ken says...." or, " ACIM, isn't that the book published by ..."

Even if it is Ken says I can't quote it in bulk, or Ken says anything at all...the association has been made in perception and the brand name recognition made in public.

He is engaged in a transparent systematic action using the American justice system to set up an empire.

Lets see how long it takes for him to get this message...you want to see some notices go out, start placing this post on boards everywhere.

You wonder why his edit of ACIM has eliminated the "doing" from it as Ryan has said, and why it is during this case that the "doing" from other edits has become tom be included in what the Course actually aims at...

This is what was left out..."Listen, learn and do...."

Jesus says, "Listen to my Voice... Learn to undo the error, and DO something to correct it... The first two are not enough. The real members of MY party are active workers."

There is no message more fearful to Ken then what Jesus presents above, because it would allow for activity directed by HIM (Jesus) to be actively taken by YOU and me and everyone...

Not just transcendent moments of perceptual change, but action taken to correct, errors that have occurred.

The next case after the church's will be the CIMS, which put out the version within which the line was included. They had an injunction that kept books in storage that say what Kens fears most...with another win under their belts, if they do win, the further legitimacy and credence is lent to brand name recognition...

Systematic strategy aimed at control...you wonder why Katie thinks A Course In Miracles is fertile grounds for cult activities...as long as Ken can point that finger away from what he is doing, and has others looking in the direction of his finger, his is able to continue to manufacture security and shore up legal wholes in the dyke.

Funny...thank God this isn't a real place and all security comes from ones true relationship with God through the intercession of Jesus and your true identity aligned with him in Christ. Thank God that IS REALIZABLE and unchangeably and undeniably each and every one of ours.

Even Ken likes that message, just don't act on the freedom and empowerment that comes from it...sit silently somewhere in an abstract state of bliss and ponder your "need to do nothing." That's what will be taught by Ken and FFACIM and reinforced by FIP and those who take that ride...anything is tolerable...

"Listen, Learn and DO! The first too are not enough."

This IS the VOICE that spoke to Helen, and asked her to do something that was terribly frightening to her but necessary...now just don't you do and the status quo will remain the same...

You listen and Learn from Ken, while he does a whole lot of stuff behind the scenes and encourages you to remember "you need do nothing"

It is true, you need do nothing to be as God created you, and sit in a moments realization of that...but members of Jesus' party are ACTIVE workers...lets not put that in the book, until brand name recognition is established. Then you will see how fast Ken's mind evolves to a new understanding of what the message says. You'll be doing all kinds of stuff in the name of the permission granted to you by his Foundation.
