"From all the evidence, it is a fair inference that, as Skutch Whitson stated, on her second trip to California she permitted xeroxing "and it seemed very right that people would pass it along, copy it over and copy it over, until finally people's copies were getting so light, that they couldn't see them anymore, and a few of us got together and recognized the need to put it in some kind of a form that was easier to read. And out of that came very small little paperbacks that the print was so small you needed a magnifying glass."

Attorney:
Q: Are we talking about the biblical Jesus or is there a different Jesus that we may be talking about?

Wapnick:
A: It was a different Jesus.

Attorney:
Q. When you believed it was Jesus, could you define for me or explain to me who Jesus was or is at that time in your mind?

Wapnick:
A. That is a little hard to say.  I was raised Jewish.  So I had no real connection with the biblical Jesus at all.  And to me, Jesus was a symbol and it was certainly not the New Testament Jesus or the Christian Jesus.

Attorney:
Q. Was the historical Jesus resurrected?

 Wapnick:
A. No.
